When I started this site in 1996, there was a bit of a lack of Early Music (especially vocal and secular) MIDIs on the net, so I thought I should put some of my own, selfmade, favourite MIDIs here. Not files collected off the Net, as so many people do, but files that I've created in a very time-consuming manner.

I herewith grant you free use of the files for private purposes, but in return I do request a link to this page and mentioning my name (that's Alexa). That's not too much asked, is it?

This page is now divided into two for faster loading. Just to confuse you, the order is roughly temporal (by birth date of the composer) rather than alphabetic.

The MIDI files marked with an asterisk (*) are donations from Linda. Thank you, Linda!

The greatest problem in making these MIDIs is getting my hands on the score. I have a good library in town, but still - they mainly serve the mainstream taste. If you have any scores in whatever form (paper, electronic) may I ask you to eMail them? My wanted-list, i.e. the ones I want to do most, is as follows:

Please contact me if you've got a score of any of these. I shall be eternally grateful. And you'll get an honourable mentioning of your name, be it real life (TM) name or net alias, whatever you prefer. Isn't that an offer? :)
